Benson Golf Club
Sitting on the banks of the Chippewa River and nestled amid many oak trees, the Benson Golf Club offers eighteen challenging holes of golf. Serving southwest Minnesota for the last eight-five years, the club offers very reasonable rates for both visiting players and club members, including such services as golf cart rental and golf lessons. A large driving range and a well-maintained putting green are available for practice, and fine dining is to be had in the clubhouse.
Benson Public Library
A member of the Western Plains library network, the Benson Public Library is a very large and well-stocked library for a town this size. In addition to a wide variety of books and periodicals, the library has a computer room for accessing the Internet and working on projects, a meeting room serving community business and social needs, and a study room for students and others needing a quiet place to learn. Established in 1913, it moved to a beautiful new building in 1993.

Parks and Recreation: Swimming Pool
The Benson City Aquatic Center is a deluxe water park featuring four pool areas and a playground. A wading pool with several waterfall mushrooms for the children to splash in. Older patrons will enjoy the lap pool, diving boards, and the massive 30ft high, 168ft long waterslide. A full concession is on site, and the water park is within easy walking distance of Ambush Park, the Benson Golf Club, and Dairy Queen.
The only operating cinema in Swift County, the Demare Theatre is an example of the charming, small town theatres which are becoming rare in the US. Enjoy the best popcorn in town while watching a movie on the big screen.
Swift County Historical Society
Founded in 1929, the Swift County Historical Society operates a history museum and research library in Benson, Minnesota, which is open year-round and is free to the general public. In it, one can learn more about the history of Swift County in particular, and the lives of early settlers to the region in general. A large number of artifacts are displayed, and there are a number of different decade exhibits.
